As I was filling the feeders in my backyard anticipating the upcoming ice storm that the weatherman had been preaching all weekend. I noticed this small splashing session going on in my pond. I eased my way over to the edge to find this little guy slurping up pond water like he hadn't had a drink in days. So out came the Nikon and like a soldier in battle, I crawled across the grass ever so softly not to catch the attention of this little Finch. As the shutter closed, I knew that this was gonna be my capture of the day. Sometimes the best moment of a day are those that come and go in a split second.
