Simply Southern

Some of my best photo's are the ones that are unexpected.  On this day, I decided to head down to River Front Park early one morning while I was visiting the Historic city of Charleston, South Carolina.  As the sun started to open it's sleepy eyes, I knew at that moment it may just be my day.

The Pineapple Fountain was absolutely beautiful with all it's elegance.  I can see why this is a hot feature to photograph while in Charleston, South Carolina.

Majestic Oaks of the south.  It was absolutely amazing to actually be able to photograph these trees.  The sky was perfect for the type of shot I was seeking.  I guess the hard part of any photo session is keeping the unwanted people out of the shot.

As soon as I saw this, It made me think of the movie Forest Gump.  This shot was taken at the Charleston Tea Plantation.  These oaks had formed a complete tunnel that headed right up to the Tea Plantation, which is a working Tea Plantation.

This shot is of an actual Tea field taken at the Charleston Tea Plantation.  I love Southern Sweet Tea, but had never really thought about where it comes from.  I guess seeing really puts things into perspective.

Then off to Boone Plantation.  This photo is of the actual slave quarters of the workers on the plantation.  I think the purple flowers intertwined in the moss covered oak tree really gave this shot personality.
